Transportation, guide and driver provided by Yellowstone Guidelines

Description: Our guide from Yellowstone Guidelines will start from the west entrance into the Yellowstone National Park. The tour will include some (but perhaps not all) of the following sights; Old Faithful and the Upper Geyser Basin, Grand Prismatic Spring, Fountain Paint Pots & Lower Geyser Basin, Mammoth Hot Springs and Norris Geyser Basin. Participants are encouraged to bring water and snacks for the field trip. Although the trip is mostly road-based, please wear appropriate clothing and sunscreen. The average high for Yellowstone on August 1 is 79˚F.

Preliminary Field Trip Details:
7:00am: Breakfast at Big Sky Resort
7:45am: Board bus
8:00am: Depart from Big Sky Resort
9:00am: Arrive at the West Entrance of Yellowstone National Park. At this point, the tour guide will take the group around to the sights listed above, as they see fit.
12:00pm: Lunch at Old Faithful. The group will be able to view an eruption while having lunch. Lunch details to be determined. There will be more sight-seeing after lunch (sights listed above in description).
4:00pm: Leave Yellowstone National Park through West Entrance
5:00pm: Arrive at Big Sky Resort
6:30pm: Dinner at Big Sky Resort

Note: All attendees must wear their COMPRES 2019 badge for access to meals and breaks. Badges will be flagged and will only allow admission to meals included with events for which you registered.
