Travel Scholarships for Graduate Students and Post-docs
Deadline for applying: May 31, 2019 at 5pm MT.
The Executive Committee of COMPRES announces the availability of a limited number of travel scholarships for students from US Institutions who submit abstracts and present a poster at the 2018 Annual Meeting of COMPRES. These travel scholarships will provide up to $800 each for travel and lodging expenses incurred in attending the Annual Meeting. All workshop attendees will have the night of August 1 covered by COMPRES, as part of the registration fee. Support will be given via a travel reimbursement check from the COMPRES Central Office at the University of New Mexico. Note that the number of scholarships are limited, so it is strongly suggested to only apply if the support is needed.
To be eligible for a travel scholarship, the applicant must be a student at a U.S. University or College. Foreign citizens who are students in the US are eligible. NOTE: Student travel grants are funded by the National Science Foundation. NSF allows travel grants to be made only to students attending US colleges and universities.
Applications for a travel scholarship should be submitted via email to Gloria Statom and Beth Ha by May 31, 2019 at 5pm MT.

- A letter of recommendation signed by the mentor/advisor. This letter should also detail the group's travel funding and explain why the travel scholarship is needed for the student.
- If you are not a U. S. citizen or Permanent Resident, please indicate your visa status.
Applications should be sent as a single PDF file. Name the file using the nomenclature LastNameFirstName_SSA2019.pdf.
