Nearest airports are Lake Tahoe, Reno and Sacramento with Reno being the largest and generally most convienient overall.

Ride Sharing for arrivals

Attendees are responsible for their own transportation to Granlibakken Lodge . Granlibakken charges $40 per person for shuttle rides to/from Reno Airport (minimum $80 per shuttle trip). During the registration process you could reserve a berth on the Granlibakken shuttle, or you can call them when your travel plans are firm (but at least 7 days in advance). The North Lake Tahoe Express may be a more cost effective shared ride. Maximum rate is $40 one way, and decreases with increasing number of passengers. We will try to arrange shared rides on this service to minimize cost. Please email your Reno airport arrival time to shurst@illinois.edu and fee@illinois.edu as soon as you have it so that we can match up rides. More details about 2 weeks before the meeting.
