General:

Attendees are responsible for their own transportation to Cheyenne Mountain Resort. The nearest airport is Colorado Springs, CO, about 10 miles from the Resort. Round trip shuttle service is about $20. Denver International Airport is about 90 miles away. There are several shared ride shuttle services with one-way fares averaging $50. Car rental at Denver Airport is a cost effective way of getting to the Resort, especially if rides are shared.

Colorado Springs Shuttle 877-587-3456 - Scheduled Shuttles leave every 2 hours on the even half hours (i.e. 12:30 pm) for Colorado Springs from DIA $50 (single rate)

Front Range Shuttle 719-237-2646 - Scheduled Shuttles every 2 hours on the even hour for Colorado Springs from DIA $49 (single rate) $88 round trip

Both have cheaper rates for groups (e.g. ~$68 round trip for a group of 4)

Rental Cars - with available discounts~$38/day, travel time 90 minutes from DIA to Cheyenne Mtn Resort

Ride Sharing Arrangements

If you are driving to Cheyenne Mountain Resort and are willing to share a ride or pick someone up from the airport on the way, please contact Steve Hurst ( shurst@illinois.edu) before 4 PM central time July 1.

I will try to connect people who are arriving at the same time to either share a rental car or shuttle. If a group agrees, they can reserve a shuttle for a group for a substantial discount. I cannot reserve the shuttle for you because they require up-front credit card payment.
Because of the prior day workshop, and multiple airports I cannot predict the arrival times of very many poeple.
